Quick answer: Parents of IB or IGCSE students should look for a tutor who understands the relevant curriculum, assessment style, subject requirements and the student’s current level. Familiarity with CBSE alone does not automatically mean a tutor is suitable for an international curriculum.
Why Curriculum Experience Matters
Different boards and international curricula can use different assessment structures, terminology, coursework expectations and question styles. Parents should discuss the exact programme and subject before booking.
What to Verify With the Tutor
- Experience with the specific curriculum.
- Subjects and levels taught.
- Assessment and examination familiarity.
- Approach to independent research and assignments.
- Availability around the student’s school timetable.
Supporting Conceptual Learning
International-curriculum students may need more than textbook explanation. A tutor can support conceptual understanding, structured writing, problem solving and revision while ensuring that the student completes their own assessed work.
Online or Home Tuition?
Both formats can work. The appropriate choice depends on location, timetable, subject, student preference and tutor availability.
International Students in India and Abroad
The Infinity Home Tuitions supports online learning for students in locations such as Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, UK and UAE, subject to tutor and schedule availability.
